Every dollar is pretend. Every trade-off is yours. This game has no real-money purchases, paid wardrobe items, wagers, or bank connection. Its income, costs, and targets are fictional game rules, not recommended household budgets or financial advice.

How to play Lifestyle Creep

  1. Adopt your pet. Name it, choose Homebody, Social, or Curious, and open the free wardrobe to pick its look.
  2. Read this month’s wish. Compare each request’s price, happiness benefit, and any membership charge that will return next month.
  3. Make your choice. Free activities, one-time purchases, and memberships can all lead to the green Continue button. An accepted choice displays a receipt.
  4. Look after the whole month. Use your separate cuddle and one care activity, review memberships, and move money into or out of the savings jar. If savings must fund a purchase, complete the transfer and select the purchase again.
  5. Finish the year. Work through 12 months and surprise events, then compare your results, save a scorecard, or start another year.

Can you meet all five year-end goals?

  • Save $5,000 in the fictional savings jar.
  • Keep average happiness at 70 or higher across completed months.
  • Finish with happiness of at least 60.
  • Finish without unpaid game bills.
  • Keep final monthly memberships at or below 16% of final monthly income.

Buying everything is not a winning plan. Refusing every request can leave your pet miserable. Mix useful treats with free care, watch the next month’s bills, and remember that familiar luxuries become less exciting. Matching a monthly wish helps; repeating the same care activity can earn less happiness.

Choose Pip, Clover the fox, Mochi the bunny, or Sprout the dragon. Try four color palettes, five outfit styles, and three rooms. Change your pet, outfit, room, or name before adoption or during the year with Change pet / style.

A new look keeps your money, happiness, bills, and progress unchanged. Personality stays fixed for that year. Start a fresh year to try a different personality.

Do paid choices unlock Continue?

Yes. An accepted free choice, one-time purchase, or membership displays a receipt and a green Continue button. A choice that needs funding is not accepted until the transfer and purchase are complete. Surprise events have their own Continue step. Cuddling is optional and is not required to advance.

Where does my saved game go?

Progress is stored in this browser when browser storage is available. Clearing site data, using a private window, or switching devices can remove or separate that save. Use Your notebook → Save file for a backup, then import that file to resume elsewhere. The game does not send pet names, fictional balances, or saved progress to a server. Website-level data practices are covered by the MoneyBucket privacy policy.

Will my pet become unhappy while I am away?

No. Happiness changes when you play, not while you are away. Your pet stays safe. A poor month does not end the game, and a free recovery activity becomes available below 35 happiness.

Can I use a save from the first version?

Older saves can be imported as labeled practice years. Earlier months remain unchanged. Start a fresh year to play the complete five-goal challenge under the current rules.

What should I try if a control does not respond?

First check for an open transfer or confirmation dialog. The game now opens in still view, with animation off. Scroll inside the game to reach every control, or use Expand game when your browser offers it. Press Escape to leave expanded view. Save a backup through the notebook before refreshing or clearing any site data. JavaScript must be enabled; when automatic saving is unavailable, the game displays a warning and still offers manual save files.
